Our Approach
When we refer to diet we are not talking about some overnight diet craze.  At Pure Fitness we look at your diet as a whole. We know that fad diets can never show anyone lasting results.  A temporary modification in eating habits can only produce temporary results.  Our goal is to assist you our local Phoenix neighbor in changing the way you perceive food.  You should eat to live not live to eat.  Only by changing your perspective of food can you produce a long term change in your eating behavior.

The first component is proper food intake.  We believe at Pure Fitness in a balanced and intellectual approach to eating.  Proper food intake is 75%-80% of your success when it comes to changing your body composition, it is more than just getting to the gym.  You must eat fewer calories than you are burning in the health club which creates an energy deficit. It is also important to eat the right percentages of proteins, carbs, and fats so you have good energy and you don’t get hungry. One of the things we do for you is to create meal plans, using the foods you like and individualize the plan so it fits into your busy Arizona lifestyle.

Eat Smart, Not Less
Did you know that improper diet is the single greatest obstacle to achieving your ideal body? If your goal is to get fit and improve your appearance, exercise alone won't get the job done. Getting in the gym and working out is essential but not the only component to reaching your goals.  Do you know the right amount and type of food to eat to expedite your fitness goals? A healthy diet should not leave you constantly feeling hungry. Using the Accelerated Results Program, your Certified Pure Fitness Personal Trainer will recommend, monitor, and modify your food intake to keep you feeling satisfied and energetic.

Nutrition and Body Composition
The increasing number of overweight and obese people in our country combined with the public’s desire for a quick solution to weight loss has led to the mystification of exercise and diet and an environment ripe for promoters of quick weight-loss methods and fad diets. Sorting through this pile of myths and inaccuracies makes for a daunting task. Clients are coming to the health club everyday with preconceived ideas about how they should be eating. These misconceptions may actually hinder their progress and have negative consequences not only to their fitness but even their health in general.
